Our Junior B`s performing gallantly to beat Davidstown 1-10 to 1-5 to bring the John Jude Cup home to Bellefield on Sunday night.

Might I take this opportunity to say a most sincere thank you to John Jude himself for sponsoring the lovely cup and trophies for the competition, congrats to Captain Pa (Fuzzy) Casey and to Maurice Donohoe who got the Man of the Match award and indeed to all the lads who produced a good competitive game that was most entertaining and exciting to watch.

Lovely to see the evergreen Padraig Doyle still hurling well and winning trophies at 50 -proof to everyone that hurling can be a game for life if you want it to - Tomas McVeigh/Maurice Donohoe/Michael Collins hurling alongside Minors like MJ Doyle/Lee Treacy /Davy Doyle and Willie Dunne who weren't even born when they started out -

This team is a beautiful blend of experience and youth and it was good to see lads like Pa O Brien/Pa (Fuzzy) Casey, Adrian Kirwan, Graham Doyle rewarded at long last for continuing to hurl for their club at a level that doesnt often get a lot of recognition. Well done to mentors Tom Boland/Ger Collins and Maria Nolan who have kept Junior B alive and well at Bellefield over the past 10/15 years against all the odds! Up the Rapps!
