The old dog for the hard road was the order of the day in the Showgrounds with Garrett Kavanagh and Niall Sunderland giving vintage displays in our Junior A Championship match against a resilient Taghmon/Camross.  There was some concern when we saw another old face: Liam Fennelly with the Wexford District team but we had a trick or two up our own sleeves. 

We played with the wind in the first half but only managed to go in to the break with a four point advantage, we had taken our scores well but gave away silly frees to keep the Taghmon men in contention.  The second half saw a more determined Rapps team with Ricky Fox up to his usually trickery, John James Dunne thundering at the defence and Garrett Kavanagh ruling the roost at centre halfback.  Lee Murphy got the score of the afternoon diving full length to put the ball in the back of the net.

Over all an encouraging performance but we are still missing a few faces that would definitely be pushing for a place on this team.
