The Junior A team took on the Shelmaliers in the show grounds on Sunday evening, the pitch while not the greatest, looked very well thanks to the hard work of Jim Nolan and Tomas McVeigh.

First man up was Niall Sunderland who was making himself available despite running a half marathon on Sunday Morning.

We took off at our usual pace giving our opposition a head start but a rattler of a goal from full forward Jim O Connor sparked the team into life and we somehow managed to draw by half time.  2-04 to 0-10.

We had the wind and Jake Murphy for the second half and this prompted a much better display with good performances all round limiting the Shels to just two points in the second half.

Oisin Carley was very lively up front with John Barron, Fiacre Ryan and Jake Murphy giving very little away in front of the ever improving John Tyrell.   John Higgins got a quick run out and will be an addition to our panel.

Final Score    2.17   to    0.12

John Tyrell, Pat Higgins, John Barron, Fiacre Ryan, Tom Foley, Jim Peare, Patrick Fox, John Dunne, David Morrissey, Lee Murphy, Damian Barron, Oisin Carley, Joseph Cullen, Jim O Connor, Richard Murphy.

Jake Murphy for Pat Higgins, Colin Cooper for Jim o Connor, John Higgins for Richard Murphy, Pat Casey.
