It was also a good week for underage football in the Club with our Juvenile Footballers beating Adamstown 17points to 2.5 on Monday night last , our U/14 footballers beating Bunclody and our Minor Footballers recording an excellent victory over Glynn/Barntown on Saturday evening 2.12 to 1.6 with a good performance from all most notable were Timmy Dwyer/Jamie Fox and Colin Nolan. Our U/12 hurlers were beaten by Naomh Eanna on Tuesday night. |

Our Minor footballers went down to Ballinastraw Gaels on Wednesday night on a scoreline of 3.12 to 2.11 after a never say die effort from the whole team and in particular Timmy Dwyer and Jack Kelly who notched up a personal tally of 1.8. |

Starlights 0-5 Shelmaliers 0-6
Unfortunately, Lady Luck didnt smile on us in the Jim Byrne Cup decider on Sunday last, with the Shelmaliers taking the spoils for the fourth year in a row by a single point. At 5 points to 6 this would seem a dour affair but rather it was a hotly contested final with neither side able to get away from the other to any great extent - indeed Starlights would have created the greater share of the chances - particularly goal chances but were unable to finish them. |

Starlights were off to their winning ways again making it to the final of the Jim Byrne Cup seeing off stern opposition in Ballinastragh Gaels - a combination of Tara Rocks and Killanerin on Sunday last in Killanerin.
