It was lovely to be back at a match yesterday in glorious sunshine in Glynn/Barntown and great to be back to winning ways as our Jim Byrne Cup team made their way into the semi final of the competition comprehensively beating the home side 4.15 to 4 points.
This is an extremely talented Starlights side and there were some outstanding performances yesterday and indeed we look forward to seeing them next Sunday in Killanerin against Balinastraw Gaels - an amalagation of Tara Rocks and Killanerin. Might we take this opportunity to wish them well and congratulate their mentors for working with them over the winter months - Jim Byrne Cup was never a competition for the faint hearted either on or off the field - and it is good to be able to say at this stage in the year that there is strength and depth in this side both on the field and on the sideline. Well done lads and good luck to ye in the semi final.
