It was the best of days for our U/14 Footballers winning the County Football title for the second year in a row - beating Glynn/Barntown 1-8 to 9 points in Hollymount in a good game of football that had spectators entralled to the bitter end.

The sides were level at the half time break at 4 points each and on resumption it was Glynn who managed to put over 4 excellent unanswered points and looked to be on their way to victory.

However when the chips were down the Starlights dug deep and regrouped and despite losing one of their best players Jack Hanley to the sin bin for the final 10 minutes they kicked some wonderful football to clinch the coveted prize.

There marvellous performances all over the field especially from Darragh Pepper, Tommy Murphy, Jack Treacy, Ben Edwards, Sean O`Rourke, Dillon Redmond, Dale Donohoe, Ryan Mahon the one and only Sharkey and many others.

Well done one and all - lovely to see the cup return to the Clubhouse and Enniscorthy for the second year running - if you win it 3 times in a row maybe they let you keep it! Up the Stars.
