If heart, fight and determination are the measure of success then all is well at Bellefield GAA, as all of those qualities were evident in our underage teams over the weekend.

Our U/14 ladies football team made club history participating in our first ever County Final in that code and after a bad start where they looked dead and buried they furrowed their way back to within one point of stronger and more experienced opposition, Fethard.

However, their efforts and never say die attitude wasn’t enough to clinch it and Fethard went on to take the honours but full credit to mentors Willie Nolan/Michelle Doyle and John Byrne who had their charges well trained and well primed and well done to a gallant ladies outfit who did us proud on the day!

We look forward to seeing them next year when all bar one are still U/14.
