Rapparees 1-09        Shelmaliers 3-08

Disappointment in a wet and windy Monamolin on Saturday, our juniors going down to the Shelmaliers in another tough encounter.  It started very brightly with a goal and a point from Timmy Dwyer with two and a half minutes gone and Anthony Russell in shooting form.    

All seemed well but the Shels fought their way back into the match with two goals (one from a penalty), the sides going in level 1-06 to 2-03 at half time.  

Rapparees could only get one point for 29 minutes of the seconf half  with the other two scores coming very late while the Shels notched up a goal and three ponts to take the spoils.  

It was a tough day for our Junior players and selectors who put so much effort into this campaign and we must take some comfort from the displays of some of our younger players during the campaign as well as the return to form of Declan Barron and Kevin Walsh, both of whom have much to offer our club.
