Another Jim Byrne Cup title bit the dust at Patricks Park on Sunday last as we fell foul of the Shelmaliers for the third year in a row. But it is very much the case of dust yourselves off lads, pick yourselves up and start all over again.

It's early days and there is everything to play for with a final score line of 3.9 to 3.6 and Starlights bearing down on the Shels goal for the last 8 minutes there is nothing between these two wonderful football sides and we should be seeing each other again in the not too distant future.

The Shels proved themselves to be the better side on Sunday but that should only serve to inspire the Starlights to work even harder and no better time to find that out than at the beginning of the season. An exciting year ahead no doubt.
