1 As per Rule 6.22 Official Guide 2009, (click here), this will be the procedure for the concluding stages of our championships: Please pay particular note to number 2:
2. All requests re dates concerning championships must be submitted to the GAA office by 5pm on March 5th – such requests will be taken on board by the CCC Committee but there are no guarantees – Requests received after this date will not be accepted. (NB: if we have any weddings/weekends away/etc., we will have to have them in by 5th March - theres no point in trying afterwards - so its up to us - please check this out and come back if we have any special requests.) 3. Due to the nature of the championships NO REQUESTS will be taken on board for Round 3 4. The motion listed hereunder submitted by Glynn-Barntown, passed with the amendment re 3rd team not having home advantage, at the County Board meeting will result in the following procedure for Senior Hurling & Football this year: Motion as submitted: At the end of the 4 team group teams 3 & 4 go into the b championship quarter final with the 3rd ranked teams playing 4th ranked. 3rd ranked teams to have home advantage or if this is not possible choice of neutral venue. Losers of b championship quarter final go into relegation play offs with 2 losing semi finalists relegated and loser of match between winning semi finalists also relegated. Winning b champ quarter finalists play semi final and final, semi final pairing decided by open draw.
