Slaney Hurling Festival 2010

Details of the Slaney Hurling Festival for 2010 have been anounced. The group matches will take place on Easter Saturday April 3rd. We have been placed in a tough looking Group C along with Ferns, Rathnure and Oulart.

Ferns will host our group games and we start off with a match against Rathnure. This will be followed by a game against the winners of Ferns v Oulart and we'll finish up with a final run out with the other team.

Round 1 starts at 10.30, Round 2 at 11.15 and Round 3 at 12.00pm.

Our venue contact is John Breen and the venue co-ordinator is Diarmuid Devereaux.

If we win our group the semi final will also take place in Ferns at 2 pm with the final being run off in Wexford Park at 3.15 on Easter Monday April 5th.

The group matches are 10 minutes a side while the semi-final will be 15 minutes a side and the final is then 20 minutes a side. Clearly a good start is vital.

In event of of a tie on points - score difference will apply (score against to be subtracted from scores for). If this does not produce a result the results of the earlier game will apply.

Please note a charge of €10 per adult will apply on the day - proceeds to the Niall McDonald Fund.
