"The Pitch"

Starring Seamus O’Rourke, former Co. Leitrim footballer and RTE All-Ireland winner of Best Actor 2010 and Best Actor in a Supporting Role 2011.

A Moth Production in association with The GAA Social Initiative and Calor Gas

Touring GAA Clubs nationwide from November 2011 to January 2012.

Will be on in Bellefield on Friday November 18th.

Philly lived and played for his team, the jersey, the parish, his friends − the very pitch his enemies are now trying to take from him to turn into a housing estate.

Tormented by painful memories and the unjust fate that holds him prisoner, he replays the events of that day when his club won the county championship for the one and only time and he wasn’t allowed to play.

For him, the old pitch is sacred ground, and it is here that he will make his last stand.
