A most enjoyable nights entertainment was had at the Clubhouse on Friday night last as Moth Productions Theatre Group brought The Pitch to Bellefield. The audience were treated to a wonderfully executed play by a gifted cast .

The Pitch, an extremely amusing yet traumatic  look at how grievances from the distant past can  dominate the present and can totally devour an entire lifetime, is a wonderful piece of writing and completely  captivated the Bellefield audience.

The beguiling charm, wit and turn of phrase of the main character Philly played by the brilliant playwright, author and accomplished actor Seamus O`Rourke had them at times reeling in their seats as he colourfully recounts the Herculean feats of his youth, like the time he scored a goal and a point with a single shot!

Ah they're not making footballers like they used to – that's for sure.

Definitely an experience worth repeating Organiser Maria Nolan said as she thanked Producer Will Govan  for bringing it to Bellefield under the Mens Social Initiative Project and Mary and Shay Walsh of Irewell Pallets for providing the temporary but very effective stage. Watch this space she told the delighted audience.
