 Bellefield is staging the finals of the Michael Foley Memorial U/15 Leinster Hurling Competition on our newly reopened pitch at 3.30 and 4.30 on the same day. Teams from all over Leinster are converging on the Enniscorthy District where the preliminaries will be played from 11am in both Ferns and Marshalstown with the Shield and Cup Finals at Bellefield.

 The old adage ` fortune favours the brave ` held true for the Starlights last weekend in Oylegate when they gave a committed and trojan performance in the second period to counteract the sending off of Cathal Murphy and to clinch the victory over Glynn/Barntown and secure their place in the B Championship closing stages and avoid relegation.

 Rapparees 1-18 Glynn-Barntown 2-14
The icing on the cake this week was most definitely our 3rd win in the Senior hurling Championship making it 3 out of 3 for the Rapps and putting them through to the quarter finals. It wasn't just the victory over Glynn/Barntown in Wexford Park on Saturday evening that gladdened our hearts and put smiles on many of the faces at Bellefield but rather the manner in which the lads hurled and kept hurling til the final whistle. |

 It was also a good week for underage football in the Club with our Juvenile Footballers beating Adamstown 17points to 2.5 on Monday night last , our U/14 footballers beating Bunclody and our Minor Footballers recording an excellent victory over Glynn/Barntown on Saturday evening 2.12 to 1.6 with a good performance from all most notable were Timmy Dwyer/Jamie Fox and Colin Nolan. Our U/12 hurlers were beaten by Naomh Eanna on Tuesday night. |

 The junior hurlers meet Rathnure in Farmleigh on Saturday July 31st at 3.30. Sean O'Neill will be the referee.
The Senior hurlers face St Martins on the Sunday (Aug 1) at 5pm in Wexford Park with David Jenkins ths time doing the honours. |

 Another good win in the Championship this week for our Junior Footballers beating Shelmaliers in St. Patricks Park on Friday evening last 5.12 to 6.2 with outstanding performances from many of our players.
Great scores coming came from Paul Byrne, Tony Mackey and Man of the Match Oisin Carley and it's nice to see that Eoin Quigley can notch them up effectively in both codes. Veteran Damian Mahon came on as a sub and his years of experience told had a definite influence on the final result. |
