What a wonderful beginning to what we hope will be a good year at Bellefield with all 3 Starlights teams notching up convincing victories in the 1st Round of this seasons All County Leagues. Our Senior footballers were the first out at 3pm in Bellefield on Saturday beating the Sarsfields 3.14 to 4 points. |

Well done to our U/16 hurlers who beat Na Fianna of Dublin in a practice match over the weekend by 2 points. Unfortunately, our U/12s and U/14s couldn’t follow suit on Sunday both of them going down in practice matches to Mount Sion of Waterford. But keep up the good work lads and success will come soon for you. |

The championship groups have been released.
We have drawn St Martins, Glynn-Barntown and Marshalstown in the senior hurling while we face a particularly tough group with St Anne's, Castletown and Gusserane in the football. |

The GAA fraternity are showing their tremendous loyalty by coming together to help the McDonald family in their time of need. As everyone remembers the McDonald family lost their home and all their possessions just a few days before Christmas last year. A charity match has been arranged with all proceeds being donated to the McDonald Fire Fund. |

The fixtures for the Leinster hurling League have been announced.
We play away to Harps of Laois in Round one on March 27th at 4pm. In round two we host Kilcormac/Killoughy of Offaly on April 5th and we finish up with a home game against Naomh Eoin of Carlow on April 17th. |

Bellefield got a major facelift this week at our front entrance and our new hurling wall is now complete – this is all part of our ongoing development which will be continuing over the coming months – so watch that space!

The fixtures for the first two rounds of the minor and juvenile hurling & football championships ahve been released.
We play St Anne's in the first rounds of both the minor hurling and the football while the Martins and Sarsfields are the first opposition for the under 16's. |
